Responsible disposal
Everything goes to licensed sites, with reusable items passed on and the rest recycled wherever possible. Ask for a waste transfer note if you need one.

Rubbish Removal: common questions

What can't you take away?

We can't collect asbestos, clinical waste, gas bottles, paint in liquid form or chemicals. Everything else in a normal household, from sofas to bags of clutter, is fine. If you're unsure about an item, add it to the notes on the quote form and we'll confirm before we arrive.

Do I need to bring the rubbish outside?

No. The price includes the crew carrying items out from any room, loft, garage or garden. Just make sure there's a clear path and tell us about stairs or long carries so we send the right team.

How is the price worked out?

You pay for the space your rubbish takes up in the van plus any items that need special handling, such as fridges. We confirm a fixed price before loading starts, so there's no surprise on the day.

Where does my rubbish go?

Everything goes to licensed waste transfer and recycling sites. Reusable furniture is offered to charities and reuse projects first, then metals, wood, cardboard and electricals are separated for recycling.

Is it cheaper than the council bulky waste service?

Council collections can be cheaper for one or two items, but they usually need items left outside and can take weeks. We're quicker, we carry items out for you, and we take mixed loads the council won't.

Can you collect a single mattress or sofa?

Yes. Single-item collections start at £50, and we can often fit them into a round the same or next day.
